You are right. There must be a different option, namely social democracy, as you mentioned in your comment.

A limited market would not mean that we are taking away people’s freedom. It would simply mean that we are regulating greed and making sure that we do not destroy the planet and/or our children’s health.

3,000 new McDonald's open a year. I think it’s safe to say that that is unethical. We shouldn’t be feeding ourselves poison, no matter the “freedom” that we disguise it as.
