Yes, that’s a very important distinction!

Although, in my book, I found it hard to distinguish between the two in the terms of “content they produce.” Because, in the end, regular people don’t really enjoy reading science books either.

And popular science literature is arguably less popular than popular philosophy literature. Although, I don’t have the data on that. But I can picture it, with rare exceptions like Bill Nye, Richard Dawkins, and Neil Degrasse Tyson.
