Yes, I think you are absolutely right. Although, even in the US case, some businesses in the tech sector choose to opt for Ireland because of corporate tax rates there, is my understanding.

Most definitely convoluted. Broad strokes can't necessarily be painted but in many austere countries that are middle income countries as well, I am seeing some negative ramifications.
