It could happen that for example you get a job offer in a different state in the US or maybe abroad and you are ready to move and your wife becomes pregnant, changing your life indefinitely.
You lose your job, your family stumbles into poverty, and your children are subject to poor conditions leading them to a more difficult life, making them harbor restentment toward you and potentially choosing substances that you would disapprove of.
Now, obviously, that's a hypotehtical and a stereotype about overtly poor conditions. But there is a correlation there.
An abortion at stage where the fetus does not even resemble anything remotely human would be the alternative to a life like that.
