Very interesting! Yes, I agree -- Foucault typically is right about social issues.

But I wonder if we can live in a society without surveillance at all. Some surveillance seems like a precaution, and those take away some liberties.

You raise a good counterargument, nonetheless! Hard to get away from the warranted slippery slope.
