Ukraine is Suing Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia (My Home Country) — My Thoughts
It is no secret that Poland and Slovakia have been adamant allies of Ukraine. State representatives, particularly presidents from both countries, were among the first to visit Volodymyr Zelensky in Ukraine after Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.
In Hungary’s case, the Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, is balancing support for Vladimir Putin, who is an ally of sorts, with keeping good enough graces with the European Union because of funds that Hungary needs right now.
With that said, Ukraine is suing the three countries as a result of the refusal of these mentioned countries to lift bans on Ukrainian agricultural products.
For observers, this understandably threatens support for Ukraine at a time when they need it since many have become accustomed to the full-scale invasion and have returned to focusing on other issues.
So, is it fair to say that Ukraine is making a mistake here?
