“Ukraine Could Lose on the Battlefield by the end of 2024,” warns CIA Director

There is some good news out of Ukraine, as those of you who follow news on Ukraine will probably know about by now.

After months of delay, due to political threats to the US House GOP leader, Mike Johnson, there is a sudden embrace of $60.8 billion in assistance to Ukraine. There will be a vote on the weekend to see if it is passed, but the possibility is likely as of writing.

Despite the MAGA threats to continuing support for Ukraine, Johnson was somehow persuaded over the need to assist Ukraine. We don’t know what happened behind closed doors, but Johnson was likely warned of the dire need for military support in Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelensky himself warned that Ukraine is outnumbered in artillery shells 10:1. More conservative estimates claim that number is closer to 5:1. Nonetheless, Ukraine is outnumbered, outgunned, and in a losing scenario at this present moment.

This came amid blockaded aid. As a result, many were sounding the alarm bells, including myself on this blog. More importantly, even CIA Director William Burns warned that if Ukraine does not receive US aid, it “could lose on the battlefield by the end of 2024.”

So, what changed for Republicans?
