There is a difference between hustling and hard work.

I have noticed that a lot of the people you have mentioned in this blog post use blatant click-bait methods to get readers. Blake Powell for example? It’s not exactly work if you’re selling the idea of “never having writer’s block.”

That is manipulation, over-promising, and sincere lies.

There is a place for enticing readers into reading the content you think will add value to their lives. But that is not what most of these writers are doing.

Sure, some publish almost every day. But most of those articles are 2 minutes long and require very little originality and depth.

I only say this because I am worried of what Medium is becoming. No disrespect to any author or ambitious reader that consumes this content. Why not actually write about something, though, instead of writing about writing.

Only respect! I look forward to reading more from you.
