The Mobilization of 300,000 Russians — Making Sense of Putin’s Crazy Speech
Russia has been losing lately. They have lost the majority of the territory they occupied in the Kharkiv region in Ukraine. But the war is not over — and perhaps it’s far from over.
On Wednesday morning, 21st of September, 2022, Putin finally took to national television to inform the Russian public of the strategy moving forward, thus breaking some of the silence on this.
It was a prerecorded speech. And it made a lot of misleading claims. So, it’s worth touching on why Putin is so misled and what the ramifications of his rhetoric and policies might be in the coming days and months.
Putin has not given a special address like this since late February when his so-called “special military operation” started.
The speech was meant to take place on Tuesday at 8 PM. But it was rescheduled to 9 PM. And then to 10:30. Finally, it was moved to the following morning. Wednesday. 8:00 AM Moscow time.

- Partial Mobilization
- Nuclear Threats
