That’s a very good question. I am actually not aware of a text in the New Testament that touches on abortion, but I could be wrong there. Usually, the Psalm text is cited. That’s the most common because it implies that God has made even fetus’ with careful attention.

But once again… taking broad moral policies on texts that were written without much care or thought and have been redecorated throughout the millennia, is such a horrible idea.

And I completely agree with your last claim; it definitely should be an oxymoron.
