That occurrence with Ben Affleck is where certain people started realizing how seriously polarized the political climate is at the moment.

Simple disagreements lead to name-calling. As you can see from Sam Harris and if you’re familiar with his work, Sam is the definition of the calmest man in the world. I can imagine it being extremely difficult to get mad at someone who is that peaceful. The fact that Ben Affleck manages it all within seconds of seeing Sam is quite something.

It’s almost like he never read any of Harris’ work.

You’re right there could have been a constructive conversation if they avoided name-calling and shouting.
