Thank you for your thoughtful comment! And yes I completely agree. The postmodernists have unfortunately often confused reason with rationality. I do also think it is important to delineate between using logic and conducting empirical modes of reasoning, such as the scientific method, and the ability to reason.

I think the latter (reasoning in general) gets too much credit in society, however. And I gather that we have some overlap in that? Although, I would also doubt that science is the be-all end-all, as some do today.

All in all, I do think that the postmodern school of thought is important in challenging modernism.
