Thank you for your comment and for reading, Dan.

You ask an excellent question. The end goal for Russia is entirely improvised and it is to outlast Ukraine since they have 3x more citizens approximately than Ukraine.

The sad point is that for Ukraine the goal is much more challenging; it's to restore their borders to pre-2014 Ukraine, restoring the Crimean peninsula to Ukraine.

The end game is difficult to predict because of the many factors at play. But without more ammunition, Ukraine will simply not be able to withstand Russia. That is why they have been bringing the war to Russia and targeting Russian energy infrastructure as well. Perhaps, their reasoning is, if we make this more costly financially for Russia Putin will be deterred enough for us to train more troops and renew military manpower on the frontline and elsewhere.

Though questions all around. Without military support, sadly Ukraine would have to rely on grassroots resistance which would also prove costly for Russia. There really is no pretty end in sight here.

Thanks again for your thoughts!
