Russia's middle-class is thrown under the bus and not prioritized, leading to the brain-drain we are seeing. Many factors there but certainly a concerning phenomenon.

I need to look closer at China to be honest, they are certainly seeing more modernization but the pace has slowly dwindled from over the decades.
