Poland has served as an important counterweight to the German and French influence on the EU. But unfortunately, they create too much tension in the bloc and often create conditions for illiberal patterns. With a change in government, perhaps they could be of better use in the EU.

And exactly, Finland is probably as far as Bratislava, but I would very much doubt he would use these words, especially now when its border with Russia is one of the most important security checkpoints of Europe.
