Megyn Kelly Says Putin Isn’t Evil — What Evidence Do We Have to Condemn Putin’s Actions?
I stumbled across a statement made by Megyn Kelly about the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, recently. And I just had to sit down and write a brief rebuttal, because her influence is far-reaching.
To paint a full picture, the former Fox News presenter Megyn Kelly described Putin as a person who is “extremely cunning” and “extremely manipulative.” She further claimed that she “didn’t see anything close to crazy” and that she did not view him as “evil,” as most Western mainstream media would argue.
Ms Kelly admitted that she did not expect the “ruthless” nature he would go to annexing Ukraine.
“We just didn’t correctly estimate the extent of his desires in this region of the country and just how ruthless he was prepared to be to get it.”
Why is it that so many were fooled by Putin? In my view, there are two immediate reasons.
First, it could be because they were not monitoring his actions close enough, thus being ill-informed. Second, they are lying, because if you were following closely, there’s no way you’d presume Putin is not acting in bad faith domestically and abroad.
Let me explain.
