One of the biggest lessons of mindfulness is that any failure to appreciate the journey we are on is a failure to appreciate the only thing we have.

Meditating consistently may be hard. But it is the primary way to dispose of the unhealthy narratives we have about ourselves and the world around us. ⁣

The human condition is a perplexing thing. We all know this. ⁣

We promise ourselves that we will finally be happy if we date that one person, have that job, get accepted to that university, go travel to that destination. ⁣

What do we find in reality? ⁣

That this is never enough. ⁣

Nothing is enough to satiate our desires. ⁣

Reminding yourself of this truth by paying careful attention in the moment is the remedy to the prison of our minds.
