It’s Good That Putin Stays in Power Over Prigozhin
Over the course of last weekend’s coup, or as Yevgeny Prigozhin called it “March for justice,” on Moscow, many started to be worried over the fact that Prigozhin would indeed ‘dethrone’ Putin from the Kremlin.
What if he became in charge of Russia’s nuclear arsenal?
Would he give up on the full-scale invasion of Ukraine?
Many of us became worried about the possibilities.
Suddenly, Putin became — and I hate to say it — a better alternative to Prigozhin and the chaos that he would bring to Russia.
So, what would have happened if Prigozhin was successful? Let’s discuss.
Russia possesses the largest nuclear arsenal in the world. I have heard various estimates when it comes to their stockpile. Some have speculated that they possess as many as 15,000 nuclear warheads, others claim that by 2021, they have closer to 6,000 warheads.
Regardless of the number, their usage would be catastrophic.
Understandably then, in light of Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, many were worried about the escalation of the conflict into a nuclear war.
Personally, I believe a lot of that was overhyped and indeed probably prevented Ukraine’s allies from providing the necessary…
