I'm imagining that many are going to neighboring nations because they are close to home and expect to go back as soon as either (1) the partial mobilization is cancelled or (2) Putin and his sympathizers are thrown off power.

A similar situation was with Ukrainians going to Poland and many coming back to Ukraine since then.
