I Was a Hardcore Christian — & This Is Why I Left Fundamentalism in Oxford
Hello, dear readers.
I have an announcement to make. I am now in the final stages of self-publishing my third book, Surprised by Uncertainty: A Journey from Christian Fundamentalism.
Due to the success of a blog I wrote detailing some of this journey, I decided to reflect on it more and jot down some ideas for my blog in a longer format. Since then, I have come up with a sufficient body of work (some 40,000 words).
I will be releasing the book in late August/ early September, just as my second (and, hopefully, final) year at graduate school starts.
Here is a rough summation of that journey for all of you. In the coming days, I will be releasing some parts from this journey in the form of blog posts, as an excuse for some marketing for the book project.
I appreciate all of your continued support in my dream of mine to be a published author! Hopefully, that ambition is a couple of years away now :)
Thank you. And here goes.
My mornings started earlier than most who were my age in my youth. During school days in high school, I woke up at 4 am to read the Bible and dissect Christian literature.
