I think that’s a good point. It’s curious why Russians believe that somehow they are the superior ‘Slav,’ so to speak. It’s definitely an entangled history they have but when we reverse the logic, it becomes quite clear that it could go either way. The Ukrainians could claim that they have the right to more land, as well. And who knows, maybe some in history made that argument, but I’m not quite familiar with that line of Ukrainian nationalism.
