I think that another attack on the Kerch Bridge is possible, but I wonder when. Presently, I hear that they are setting up long-range missile systems across the Dnipro river, but I would have to wait for official Ukrainian statements, to make a clear view on this.
I agree with your second paragraph. It seems to be purposeful. Although, it’s safe to say that Russians also have accidentally bombed a lot of targets because of their outdated missile systems (but that’s just a personal view). When it comes to the Dam, there are signs of mining, so the investigation has proved that it wasn’t merely an artillery strike that did the damage.
Yes, press coverage has certainly relaxed. In the US I imagine it also has to do with Trump’s indictment? It probably also has to do with the fact that if a viewer is following the counteroffensive, they have to be slightly familiar with the various names and oblasts. And, for many, that is no doubt difficult. It’s not so easy to narrativize as “an attack on the capital” / “bombing on civilian areas.” Sadly, this will probably be the fate of news coverage concerning the counteroffensive.
Thank you for the thoughtful comment! It certainly made me think. And apologies for the longer response. Hope you’re well :)
