Yes, you are very right. Ukraine has again and again made clear that they want to belong in the EU, during the Orange Revolution in 2004 and Maidan Revolution in 2014, and even now.

Zelenskyy has truly shifted gear as of the invasion, and acts as a great source of leadership on Ukraine’s mission to become an EU Member. Let’s hope they are able to achieve this at a record-breaking pace. I really hope so.
