Finally, The End of Putin?

Last weekend’s mutiny against Vladimir Putin was not exactly an ideal PR campaign for the Russian “Strong Man.”

Not only did Putin flee Moscow, he immediately forgave Prigozhin his treason for the entire Russian population (and, indeed, the world) to see.

And who made him do all this?

Prigozhin. The caterer.

Things are only becoming worse for Putin. He has been standing on thin ice for a while, but this latest development might just be the final blow.

Let me explain.

I did not see many talk about the initial capture of Rostov-on-Don, which was by no means a small feat. In fact, Rostov was the primary logistics hub for all operations to Luhansk in Donbas.

So, in some way, Putin’s estimation that Prigozhin’s 25,000 troops on their way to Moscow might indeed overwhelm his forces, was probably a correct one.

His regime was seriously threatened.

And few of us were precisely cheering, since having Prigozhin in charge of the Russian nuclear arsenal wasn’t desirable, to say the least.

That wasn’t true for the citizens of Rostov, however.
