Russian shelling continues to kill Ukrainians in residential areas. Meanwhile, longer-range missiles are being sent to Ukraine from the West, such as HIMARS. The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, is not pleased and has recently said they are “changing” their goals in Ukraine beyond Donbas.

No one in Ukraine believed that Putin only wanted the Donbas region in Ukraine, in the first place. Such empty threats from Lavrov are just that … threats that will not amount to anything.

Western intelligence misjudged Ukraine and its ability to withstand a direct Russian attack. We should start believing in the Ukrainian people. I remain hopeful that Ukraine can defeat Putin.

Ukrainians Will Probably not Agree to a Ceasefire

Unlike Macron, Ukrainians do not trust any negotiations for a ceasefire, despite the fact that Putin remains “open” to them.

For Ukrainians, and anyone who is watching this conflict, it’s clear that negotiations or a proposed ceasefire would only be agreed upon if they benefit Putin.
