With former Wagner leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin’s mutiny against Putin, it is only reasonable to presume that Putin is one of the more paranoid leaders on the global stage.
So, what is his security like?
Putin’s personal security is known to be one of the most intense in the world. In fact, one reason Prigozhin likely refrained from advancing on Moscow is due to the formidable security surrounding Putin.
Putin has the Praetorian Guard at his disposal, a substantial force equivalent to the Wagner Group, according to credible sources.
Additionally, there’s the Federal Protective Service (F.S.O.), which evolved from the K.G.B.’s bodyguard directorate responsible for protecting Gorbachev and Politburo members. The FSO is responsible for the security of the highest-ranking state officials, including the president.
