After 5 Months, Who is Winning in Ukraine?
Many of us have been watching the war in Ukraine closely. Some of us have Ukrainians at our houses. My family in Slovakia, for example, has three Ukrainians living with us. My uncle and auntie in Slovakia also had a family of Ukrainians from the Kyiv suburbs with them for a few months.
Here, this reception of Ukrainians was normal. Many of my friends had families with them, so I do not say that to seem like we stand out in any way. We can continue to do much more, needless to say. We all can.
But it’s clear: Europ has changed. And we all want Ukraine to win; they deserve the world after what we have seen them endure from Putin.
So, what’s the state of the war? Is Putin finally losing? And can we hope for the end of the tunnel in 2022?
