Absolutely, that is a fair point. I think I should have been more specific in my discussion of disinformation, then. When information becomes purposefully misleading (or disleading, to create a term), then I believe it is harmful.

That can obviously come from any specific political leaning, thus “in the eye of the beholder” — to your point. But I don’t think we are talking about the same thing in that regard.

Obviously, people will disagree even when they hear properly represented events. One person can hear the event described and claim that it is “disinformation”. But that does not have bearing on reality.

There should be an objective basis for this. And there are a lot of sights that put a lot of work into this, making a truthful reality possible when it comes to news sources.
