A Russian Civil War is Brewing — The End of Putin?

With the recent Ukrainian counteroffensive against Russia, many have become hopeful about the possibility of retaking the 17% of Ukraine Russia presently occupies (including Crimea).

However, military analysts predict that without an absolute collapse of Russian forces, the Ukrainian side will most likely not be able to prevail over the Russian occupiers.

Of course, military analysts have been wrong before. So, we should take some of their predictions with a grain of salt.

That said, there are recent developments among Russian units of dissent. In fact, reports indicate that Russian forces are turning against each other in areas close to Belgorod in Russia.

This is not good news for Russia, which is increasingly having to retreat from key positions.

Let me explain.

Fighting has reached Russia. It was bound to happen. And indeed the time has come. But it’s not Ukrainians who are attacking Russian forces on their soil.

As Zelensky stated, “We don’t attack Russian territory, we liberate our own legitimate territory.” He continued, “We have neither the time nor the strength (to attack Russia).”

But that doesn’t mean that Ukraine will not benefit from internal dissent among the Russian…
